Methodology

Finding information is not the same as proving it.

How CircularConnex approaches evidence-led electrical infrastructure research.

Start with the question

Agree the equipment, markets, decision and research scope before drawing conclusions. Electrical infrastructure intelligence may involve manufacturer research, tender and award intelligence, supply-chain mapping or equipment lead-time evidence. Coverage depends on the agreed question and the evidence available.

Find and check source material

Research can draw on procurement notices and awards, official company and manufacturer publications, filings and other appropriately authorised material. Check who published a source, what it says, when it was published and which claim it supports. A supplier statement and independent corroboration are different kinds of evidence.

AI-generated text is not treated as evidence. Any assisted discovery or structuring must be checked against the underlying source material.

Keep entities and status separate

A research candidate is a lead for investigation, not a qualified supplier. A company is a legal or business entity. A facility is a physical site; a registered office is not necessarily a manufacturing facility. A product is a specific equipment or component offering. A procurement observation records activity such as a notice or award.

Candidate, Under review, Reviewed, Unresolved and Not evidenced describe research or review status, not entity or location type. Reviewed evidence has been assessed against a particular question. Reviewed does not mean approved supplier.

Record dates, limitations and conflicts

Retain the source and its relevant dates alongside the claim. Publication date, the period described and review date can differ. State what the evidence supports and what remains unconfirmed.

Where sources conflict, compare their scope, dates and basis, retain the material disagreement and identify any further check needed. If the conflict cannot be resolved, do not present one account as settled fact. An estimate or interpretation must remain distinguishable from an observed fact.

Review the claim, not just the record

Check whether the evidence relates to the right company, facility, product and period. A company directory entry, procurement activity or map marker does not establish supplier approval, manufacturing capacity or a delivery commitment. A quoted lead time does not reserve a production slot.

Capacity and delivery conclusions require evidence appropriate to that specific claim. Research does not replace technical qualification, contractual confirmation or inspection where those are needed.

Scope and accountability

CircularConnex does not claim complete market coverage or independently assured platform operation through this methodology. The scope and limitations of an output should be read alongside its findings. Public website interface examples remain illustrative until replaced with approved material.
